Founder, My Lunch Box

If you are the parent of a child in an independent school, then you already know that many Tampa Bay area schools do not have a full-service cafeteria; students either have to bring a bag lunch or eat take-out fast food.

As a working mom  and founder of My Lunchbox, I liked having the convenience of purchasing fast food delivered to my children’s school, but not the nutritional content.   My son became so tired of eating his favorite fast food sandwich every Wednesday that he boycotted the restaurant for many months.  Lunchtime at school should be a time to refuel and prepare for the second half of the day's academics; if lunch isn't nutritious. how can our children do their best at school?

After a conversation with other moms and school officials, I knew that there had to be a way to offer a better lunch program providing healthier kid friendly meals. With 20 years in the restaurant business and parental instincts as my guide, My Lunch Box was created.  In 2006, we begin serving lunches at our children’s school.

Every day we offer hot entrees, fresh salads, and deli sandwiches, giving kids a variety of healthful choices.   Kids love the selections and parents are pleased to know that their children are eating healthier.

After receiving inquires from other schools and parents we begin delivery to area schools in 2007.  Our fresh lunches arrive individually wrapped and labeled in time for lunch each day.  The service is provided at a reasonable cost to families and
no extra cost to the schools.

Our partnership with Orderlunches.com makes lunch ordering quick and easy for
students and parents.

My Lunch Box's goal is simple:
to provide affordable lunches to our area school kids that are healthy and fun.

We consider it a privilege to serve your family and school and look forward to
feeding your kids.
